Dato’ Rafique is Maybank Islamic Berhad and Group Head of Islamic Banking since 1 July 2016. He joined Maybank Group in 2012 as its Group Chief Financial Officer and is also a member of the Maybank Group Executive Committee. He has more than 25 years of experience in the corporate sector, including five years as Chief Financial Officer of Tenaga Nasional Berhad and Malakoff Berhad. Prior to that, he served at Radicare (M) Sdn Bhd, a facilities management concessionaire for hospitals in Malaysia as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Executive Officer. He also worked with Amanah Capital Group and Bumiputera Merchant Bankers Berhad in corporate finance and advisory roles. His recent appointments include Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Etiqa Takaful Berhad and Member of Etiqa Insurance Berhad Investment Committee. Dato’ Rafique was also the President Commissionaire of PT Bank Maybank Syariah Indonesia from 2013-2016.

Dato' Rafique is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) UK; Chartered Accountant, Malaysian Institute of Accountants and underwent the Advanced Management Programme at Harvard Business School. He is a member of the Malaysia Accounting Standards Board; Malaysia Advisory Committee of ACCA Malaysia and CNBC Global CFO Council.

Badrul Hisyam bin Abu Bakar was appointed as Regional Head, Investment Management of Maybank Kim Eng Group effective 1 March 2021. He previously served as the Chief Executive Officer of Maybank Asset Management Group from 25 April 2018. He is also a Non-Independent Non-Executive Director of Maybank Asset Management Singapore, which he was appointed to on 1 April 2020.

Badrul has over 25 years of experience in numerous asset management companies such as HLG Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Commerce Asset Fund Managers Sdn Bhd, Avenue Asset Management Sdn Bhd, Tune Money Capital Sdn Bhd and BIMB Investment Management Berhad. His experience covers both traditional and shariah/ethical mandates and he has worked on both sides of the business - retail and institutional. At CIMB-Principal Asset Management Bhd, he was heavily engaged in the restructuring and rehabilitating of portfolios. Prior to joining Maybank AM, he was the Chief Investment Officer of BIMB Investment Management Berhad.

He graduated from New York University, USA with a Bachelor of Science, majoring in Finance and Economics in 1996.

Nadjihah was appointed as the Officer-In-Charge of Maybank Islamic Asset Management (MIAM) on 1 April 2022. She is also the Chief Commercial Officer and the Executive Director of MIAM since 7 May 2015 and 1 November 2021 respectively. Prior to that, she headed the investment team at MIAM as the Chief Investment Officer. She joined Mayban Investment Management (later changed to Maybank Asset Management) in 2004 as a fund manager and later became the Head of Equities (Non Insurance). For over 25 years, she has accrued experience in fund management, managing primarily equities and balance funds for pension funds, unit trust funds, corporates and institutions as well as high net worth individuals.

Nadjihah started her investment career at RHB Research Institute as an equity analyst in 1994 and then moved on the fund management side in 1998. She was attached with Affin Fund Management as a fund manager until early 2004. She graduated from University of Nottingham with B.A. Law (Hons) and received her Certificate in Legal Practice in 1994. She is a holder of CMSRL license.
